Nash is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received both his MD and PhD degrees as part of the National Institute of Health Medical Scientist Training Program. Although Dr. Nash has a particular interest in pigmented lesions (atypical moles/melanoma) as well as nonmelanoma skin cancers, he also specializes in complex medical dermatology that is not limited to immunobullous disorders and connective tissue disorders such as lupus. In addition, he has extensive experience in the management of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis/eczema, and acne that includes the utilization of the latest systemic therapies to treat the most severe/recalcitrant cases.
As a result of Dr. Nash’s unique training background, he has a vested interest in the education of his patients as well as peers. He has given numerous presentations both nationally and internationally and has been involved in the training of both medical students and residents over the years. Dr. Nash currently serves as an Assistant Professor for the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine program here in Auburn where he teaches Dermatology to medical students through didactic lectures and clinical rotations.
